Building Bridges

A Community Rooted in Relationships

The Bridges’ story began in Susak, Croatia, where the Scrivanich family immigrated from. Istovjetnost, Croatian for identity, oneness, and community, was at the heart of the family’s origin. The importance of Istovjetnost was something the family brought with them overseas as they began their new journey here in the U.S.

Upon setting their roots in the Pacific Northwest, the Scrivanich family integrated their rich understanding of relationships and togetherness, which resulted in The Bridges as we know it today. Originally a homestead for the Scrivanich family, extended family members’ homes were connected by bridges between them. Oftentimes after school, the Scrivanich children would agree to meet one another at the bridge.

Since this community is being developed by the family that owned it for generations, it’s clear why their care and love for this special place shines through every aspect of planning and building these homes. Rooted in community, they strive to uphold the original spirit of Kirkland and Susak reflecting a sense of togetherness—closeness and community are at the heart of what The Bridges is all about.

They’re not just building homes. They’re building bridges—meaningful connections—that draw the right people into the right place. More than a house, a home at The Bridges is built on a foundation that supports everyday life and those extra-special moments for years to come. Here, you’ll find that these aren’t just houses being built to be sold, but homes being built to be lived in. And we hope that here at The Bridges, you’ll find a home and community you can live in and love for a very long time.
